Holy. Sh*t.

Tue Jun 17, 2008, 5:31 PM
Just thought I should UPDATE since my internet crapped out on me TWO MONTHS AGO and I haven't really been on very much since then cuz my DAD doesn't like me on HIS compy because I print GUITAR TABS and stills from the awesomely-animated movie HORTON HEARS A WHO! (don't laugh at me--it's a FREAKING COOL MOVIE and I want to draw the characters JUST right and CGI-looking and all that!) like CRAZY that use up all his INK so he doesn't TRUST ME on this thing!!

...how's that for primal scream therapy? :giggle:

HANYWAYS I miss you all very much, friends, enemies, and people who actually read this stuff :cries:. I've been super busy, and I seriously know I need to post more art. I actually am working on a couple painting commissions though :painter:, so those are coming first. (Because $$ is good for you :-). Especially for broke people like me.)

Back to School...!!

And it's Quiz Time already?! :shakefist: :shakefist: :shakefist:

1. Post these rules
2. Each person tagged must post 8 random facts about themselves
3. Tags should write a journal/blog of these facts
4. At the end of the post 8 more persons are tagged and named
5. Go to their page and leave a comment telling them they're tagged

Oooooookaaaaaaay:

1.) My favorite foods are carrots and strawberries.

2.) I rarely forget my dreams :dizzy:; they're almost always pretty freaky, too...

3.) I love long hair waaaay too much--especially on guys.

4.) I don't really watch TV.

5.) ALL music is fine for me. Rarely do I hate any type of music, even the widely-shunned (but also widely-appreciated) Country and Rap genres. Opera too :sing:

6.) Currently I am flat broke. FLAT. BROKE. :cries: OH! And I need to sell some of my manga off to make room on my shelves, too. Any ideas on finding interested buyers, being that I don't do eBay?

7.) I hate how iTunes always makes everything capitalized even if in Standard Formal English it's not supposed to be :rage:.

8.) I can't stop subscribing to Rolling Stone magazine even though I do realize that it is the most biased magazine in the entire freakin' world and that its writing quality has very steadily decreased since like, 1980 or so.

I'm not gonna tag any peeps unless they want to consider themselves tagged, just because I believe chain things like this can really annoy the crap out of poor, unsuspecting artists like meself.

Midnight Cascade

Wed Mar 12, 2008, 4:09 PM
Here's the poem I submitted today (my first submission of the year...maybe because I'm shy?):

Midnight Cascade

The Moon gave me an
Opalescent wink and
i just couldn't help it.
>>my eyes peeled open
Like Morning Glories
And spilled tears in a sprinkling of
Rainbow dewdrops.
The blankets rippled
Softly waves against me
Over me
As i lower my feet
>>lightly
to the chill of a
GRAY
cement
Carpet.
Shiver
The window opens
And as the wind beckons my voice
Tossling my hair playfully
I taste the salt of the sea

And Sing.
and as my voice pours out into the night
a Rush
i Know i am one with all
A Waterfall.

*Note: the poem is written a little differently on the original paper in front of me, but these journal entries allow no random indentation ^^; I marked the indents with li'l arrows. Yep!

Yesterday I went to see the movie "The Other Boleyn Girl," and let me tell you, it sure made me grateful for my own sister  Anne Boleyn was a b**ch!! :backstab: I mean seriously, and I found myself only half knowing the story of Anne's beheading. It was an interesting, albeit "16th-century-made-into-Jerry-Springer" movie. I liked it a lot, and the acting was superb.:thumbsup:

Unfortunately, then I went over to Barnes & Noble. It's a sad, sad time when I walk into a bookstore and feel too broke to buy a single thing. ESPECIALLY when I spent almost two hours there browsing! :library: However, I read like three manga and one short book that I was thinking of buying previously. Needless to say I won't have to get sucked into buying them now :w00t:.

I have sketched a lot, yes, but when I find something worthwhile is when I will post. Yep. That's all I have to say. I work tonight, so from now on will be another busy day. See y'alls later.

Man, how could such a geat weekend lead to such a crappy Monday? I'm so depressed.

Just this past Saturday, I was captain of the team that won the Japan Olympiad competition in my state (for my level) :winner: It was a fun, nerve-wracking, hilariously fun, looooooooong day of competition, but I came out so much more confident than when I went in at first. I am so proud of my awesome teammates. YOU GUYS ROCK!!! :headbang:

However, Sunday I had to rush to write a narrative paper, and I chose a topic that I probably shouldn't have. It was very personal, and now that some people have read it I wish I could disappear :begone:. What made it even worse is that someone ELSE chose my same "topic," and did it so much more in detail and so much more depressedly. Because my paper was a personal matter, her deep and undeniably better paper really put me to shame and struck a chord in my heart, too... :cries:

I asked my teacher if I could rewrite mine because I felt so terrible after all that, and he said yes, I could. But I grew so embarrassed and sad not being able to articulate why I wanted to rewrite my work. It was a very personal matter, after all! I just feel sad, sad sad...And to be honest, it's one of those days that I really can't help but express it until it goes away.

That means...drawing time. :painter: Ciao.
